Huge calcium carbonate deposits along the banks of the Yellowstone River.

This is Roaring Mountain, a small mountain literally "smoking" as a result of thermal activity.   Mud volcano area along the road between Canyon Village and Yellowstone Lake.   The Yellowstone River just above the Upper Falls.       The Gardiner River as seen from the bridge just east of Mammoth Hot Springs.
