Mammoth Hot Springs

As you drive south into Wyoming and the park from the North Entrance at Gardiner, you cross the 45th parallel, the halfway point between the Equator and the North Pole.

Mammoth Hot Springs is the site of the National Park Headquaters inside of Yellowstone National Park.

A good variety of wildlife can be viewed in this small town inside the park. Mammoth Hot Springs contains several residences.

A small hotel can also be found in Mammoth Hot Springs. The wildlife wander around in this area, unaffected by the presence of humans.
