What's New in ToolBook Instructor 2004 SP 3

There are just a few changes between SP2 and SP3 but they do make for a better release.
  1. Display content in a browser more quickly - ToolBook content will now load faster in a browser when a user opens pages exported for use on the Web. Optimizations in this release have created noticeable performance improvements for content exported to HTML/DHTML. The increased speed of loading a page has been accomplished in several ways, including a faster means for drawing buttons in ToolBook content.
  2. Save the value of a variable in an LMS if a course is suspended - In the Actions Editor, the Variables dialog box has been updated to include the ability to save the value of global variables to an LMS. This new checkbox option exists on the Global Variables tab: Save the value of the variable in the LMS when the course is suspended
  3. Incorporate TotalLMS buttons and actions - If you use TotalLMS or its precursor, the Aspen LMS, you may choose to hide the toolbar in the Content Player toolbar at export time. Even if you hide this toolbar, you can make the features on the toolbar available in your ToolBook content by adding buttons from the TotalLMS category of the Instructor Catalog to your content. You can also achieve the same functionality using the Actions Editor. A new "Show TotalLMS UI" action type appears in the "Scoring and Tracking" section of the Actions Editor palette. In the Instructor Catalog, the existing Aspen LCMS category has been renamed to TotalLCMS since the name of this software has changed. All of the objects in this category continue to behave in the same manner.
  4. Several fixes to things not working well in SP2.
