Consulting and ToolBook Development
TCC Publishing, Inc offers most any type of consulting and
ToolBook development you might require and rates range from $65/hour to
$125/hour depending upon the total amount of time. We can work with you to
plan and set up your training program and provide templates, etc. for a
quick start or we can do the total job for you.
Training Offered
TCC
Publishing, Inc offers a variety of hands-on training workshops with a focus
on the various features of ToolBook including ToolBook Basics, the Actions
Editor, the Simulation Editor, and HTTP Post. We can customize any training
session as needed. Training rates start at $125/hour. Daily and Weekly rates
available and vary depending upon number of students.
The ToolBook Rapid Development Suite
The
ToolBook Rapid Development Suite (RDS) is a collection of tools that allow
us to work with a you to storyboard and build ToolBook lessons in a fast and
efficient way. The tools are built entirely in ToolBook and include a
Storyboard Builder, a set of Template Pages, a Blank Starter book, and an
authoring engine (system book).

The Comment Collector System
The Comment Collector (CC) System is an add-on to any lesson or series of
lessons and provides a means of collecting reviewer comments during your QA
process. Using JavaScript, a form is available that allows reviewer input to
be stored in an SQL database on the Web Server.

The Project Data Management System
The Project Data Management System (PDMS) is a series of ASP pages that
interact with an SQL Database on a Web Server. The PDMS provides a
means of organizing and managing your ToolBook training projects.
Projects can be identified, principals involved can be identified, and
lessons added within any project. The system is set up to allow for 3
QA cycles: QA1 Review, QA2 Review, and SME Review (Subject Matter Expert).
On the ToolBook side of the process is the Comment Collector System that
allows the reviewers to enter comments. On the PDMS side of the
process, project principals (including the ToolBook developers) can review
those comments and respond to them.

SmartSims (Simulation Editors and Template)
This product offers a great alternative to anyone who does not want to deal
with the complexity of the Simulation Editor that is built into ToolBook.
With that tool, anyone developing software simulations must have to deal
with a number of different dialog boxes and the various property grids for
setting the properties of the simulation, the properties for each step, etc.
With our product, we provide a set of pre-built template pages with each
page having a simple editor where all you have to do is fill in a few form
fields.
