The 1997 Michael Jordan Golf Classic was held at Brook
Valley Country Club on June 29 with the event's namesake, the NBA's
greatest player Michael Jordan, being the star attraction this year.
This year's event included over 30 celebrities f rom television,
music, and sports. This marked the tenth birthday of the Ronald
McDonald House in Greenville, North Carolina. |

the past years, this golf classic has been successful in raising
over $900,000 for the Ronald McDonald Houses of North Carolina,
houses set up around the state to pr ovide comfort for families of
children who are undergoing rigorous medical treatment in hospitals
nearby. The Ronald McDonald House of Greenville has served over 4,300
families in the past ten years.
