Point Emerald Villas on Emerald Isle, NC took a harsh beating from Hurricane Bertha. These photos were taken Sun. noon as we were allowed on the island to inspect our units. It is hard to imagine the number of trees that are down on the Western end of the island.

The dunes held up better than the roofs of most of these buildings. We had a good wide beach which helped a lot. We are now condemned and awaiting electrical inspection before some of the buildings can be opened back up. Front row building took only minor damage to roofs with little to no interior damage except for water in those that did lose part of the roof in the A unit. B and D units back off the water didn't survive as well with one complete building missing a roof.
