My trip began with a short stop at the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco on my way to catch a flight out of Los Angeles after the Syllabus 98 Conference at Sonoma State University.
Our first stop was in Melbourne, Australia. This is a picture of the waterfront area of downtown Melbourne.
While in the Melbourne area, we took a 1-day train ride west. On a bus tour to volcanic area, we saw this guy sitting in a tree.
Our next stop was the best of the trip, Cairns. Cairns is located in the Northeastern part of Australia and the Great Barrier Reef.
We took a 1-day trip out to the Great Barrier Reef. This was one of our most memorable days.

Our next stop was Sydney where we toured the world famous Opera House and other Sydney attractions.
Our final stop was New Zealand where we spent
several days.
